“Accelerating Development of AI-Based Home Skin Elasticity Restoration Device”
SEOUL, South Korea (November 18, 2025) – CuraPulse Inc., a company specializing in wellness devices based on ultrasound and pulse wave technology, today announced it has signed a joint research agreement with Professor Byun Ji-yeon and her research team from the Department of Dermatology at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital.
The collaboration is for CuraPulse’s government-supported R&D project as part of the “Global TIPS” (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) initiative. The signing ceremony was held on November 1, 2025, at the hospital’s seminar room.
The project, sponsored by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), is titled “Development of a Home Skin Elasticity Restoration Device Based on Real-time Bioimpedance AI Analysis.”
CuraPulse possesses unique multi-frequency ultrasound and pulse wave technologies originally researched for brain cell therapy. Through this joint research, CuraPulse will integrate its core technology into an AI-based homecare beauty device. Professor Byun’s team will leverage its extensive clinical experience and dermatological data to clinically validate and refine the technology’s effectiveness.
The primary goal of this partnership is to commercialize an innovative home device that provides personalized skin elasticity treatments. This will be achieved by combining real-time “bioimpedance” data, which measures the user’s skin condition, with an advanced AI algorithm.
